Outstanding Scholarship Results 2010
The Senior College is once again to be congratulated on excellent scholarship results. This is the second year in a row that the Senior College has swept the board - this year we gained 17 of the 18 scholarships awarded in the Wairarapa region.
The message must be clear - if you have a gifted student - no matter what the subject is - you should be seriously considering Rathkeale College.
Graeme Anderson - Academic Director: Rathkeale College
Rathkeale St Matthew's Senior College congratulates the students who achieved Scholarships.
14 students gained 17 Scholarships, of which 4 were at the Outstanding category. Of the 14, 6 were Rathkeale boys who gained 7 Scholarships, 2 being Outstanding (Cameron Sims for Art Painting and Harrison Greenwood for Geography).
"The results are very pleasing and all students are to be congratulated. Once again the Art dept has excelled and along with their NCEA results have produced outcomes that are without doubt the best in the country. No other school exceeded the number of scholarships gained in Painting. One Auckland school that also gained eight had no outstanding. On a percentage of the cohort basis this puts us way ahead of any other school."
