Supporting Activities

The Friends support various activities held by the school.  The Inter-house Athletics Sports Day is held at the beginning of the year and the Friends run the BBQ selling sausages, drinks and ice creams for the athletes and their families.

Midwinter sees the Prefects hosting the Dinner Dance which is a big night for the students of Senior College.  The students dress up in theme costume and the secret venue is decorated by the Prefects.  The Friends prepare and serve the buffet meal with the junior students helping out with tidying up.  The students’ costumes are always fabulous !   

The Dessert Dance is another highlight for the senior students of Rathkeale and St Matthews.  The Friends prepare puddings which are served on the night after which the students enjoy music and dance the night away.
